I have been going through a rough time lately. During that time, I decided to unplug for a little bit. I believe it has been so good for me mentally, emotionally, and physically. During this break from scrolling, I have really jumped into reading! As I’m sure you’ve heard before, exposure to blue light right before bed can be harmful to your sleep cycle. Reading right before bed is a perfect alternative because it is relaxing and fun! For some people, it can even help them fall asleep and stay asleep through the night. Even if you’re reading on a Kindle you can change the lighting to warm light to cut back on the blue light exposure.
My latest read was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and my current read is Too Late by Colleen Hoover. I love enjoying a glass of my Cab Sav while cozied up in my reading spot upstairs. If you have any suggestions for books to add to my TBR please let me know!
I’m enjoying reading so much I’ve started a book club! Our first virtual meeting will be Wednesday, 8/23. I’m excited to share my thoughts on the book and hear other people’s opinions! I am planning on having a charcuterie board and a wine sangria, but let me know if you have any suggestions for snacks or drinks to share!
